This year the Benson Butterfield Rodeo celebrates its 10th anniversary! The Committee has already had several meetings for the 2010 rodeo and we look forward to presenting the community with another fun-filled event. This year's date is October 9.

We'd like to thank everyone who attended and participated in the 2009 rodeo for making it our best yet.

Each year the Committee will try to improve the rodeo. To offer your comments, suggestions, and/or concerns go to the Contacts page and send us an e-mail. If you feel your comment needs immediate attention, call one of the committee members.

The VIP tent wristbands will be back again this year, but they will be distributed prior to the rodeo instead of you having to exchange your ticket once you arrive at the event.

Last year we discussed the possibility of awarding a buckle to the 1st place winner of the Junior Barrel event, and that's exactly what we are going to do for the 2010 rodeo. First place winner will receive an engraved buckle as well as prize money, and the 2nd and 3rd place finishers will receive a trophy and prize money.

Junior Barrels, Pee Wee Barrels, and Mutton Bustin' contestants must register before the day of the rodeo. However, this year you will have the option of registering contestants for all the other children's rodeo events as well. Pre-registration date for children's events is September 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Call 520-586-5189.
